Our facilities at Tiny Toes Nursery Ltd are divided into three main areas according to age. The Ofsted guidelines for staff-to-child ratio for these age groups are as follows:
Under 2s, 1 staff to 3 children 2–3 years, 1 staff to 5 children 3+ years, 1 staff to 8 children
Here, we care for babies from 6 weeks. Each baby is given the time and opportunity to develop their senses through a range of stimulation involving sounds, lights and textures. Our team is adept at providing care with the love and affection that makes our babies feel comfortable, safe and happy. We have a milk preparation area and a nappy changing area which provides all that each baby needs. There is no need for parents to provide anything; the nursery takes care of everything.
Get in TouchThe Piglets space is tailored to children who are learning to walk independently. We provide resources to stimulate their imaginations and promote the development of their communication skills. Varied experiences ensure that each child is engaged and challenged within a safe environment, allowing them to take risks and manage them with the support of our nursery practitioners close by. We have a separate sleep room for under 2s so that they can sleep undisturbed in a beautifully ladybird- and butterfly- adorned room. Sleeping babies are checked by staff every 10 minutes to make sure they are safe. The sleep room can also be monitored through our CCTV system.
The 2–3-year-old provision is focused on strengthening skills and encouraging independence, including potty training. Our team will encourage children to explore their environment in a fun and engaging way. Frequent access to our garden space allows the children to extend their learning outdoors and develop important motor skills.
Get in TouchIn Noah's Ark, the focus is on getting our children ready for their move to school, making use of mealtimes and our child-sized toilet facilities to develop independence. Our staff try to challenge and excite each child by tapping into their interests and tailoring learning opportunities to suit every individual. Our staff will use themes such as animal life cycles to chunk learning from different areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage such as language, physical development, literacy, numeracy, and art.
As the children prepare to leave Tiny Toes, we hold a simple yet special graduation event. Parents and carers are invited to join us as we say goodbye to the children and wish them lots of happiness and success for the future.
